On April 25th, we travelled to Provo for another match. Despite the threat of rain, we were able to get their and complete the match before any poor weather. This match was a total team effort from top to bottom with the varsity team winning 5-0. Congratulations to Henry Quigley and John McCann for an amazing win at the first doubles position.
Next we played cross town rival Timpanogos at home. With the temperature in the low 40's and the wind gusting upwards of 25 miles per hour, we still decided to tough it out. Despite not getting the results we wanted, with the varsity team losing 2-3, I was very proud of the team of our team for showing true toughness in extremely tough conditions, and for JV sweeping all of their matches. Great job JV team!
The following week, we had the opportunity of traveling to Skyridge, the newest high school in the region. On a beautiful, slightly windy day (once again wind, ugh!), Varsity was able to pull out a 3-2 victory, and once again JV swept all of their matches. I would definitely say, as a team, this was our best match as a team top to bottom. Once again congratulations to Henry Quigly and John McCann for their come from behind win at first doubles, which ultimately ended up clinching the match for the Varsity team. Great match boys!
Our last regular season match had us playing cross town rival Mountain View. This was the first match of the year where we were able to sweep all of our matches from top to bottom. All of the boys played great matches and took care of business quite easily. Nothing better to finish the season than dominating Mountain View!
